Not a Consumer Reporting Agency. This service is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA). Information here or from a linked third-party tool cannot be used for credit, employment, insurance, tenant screening, or another FCRA-covered decision.
How Current Is Information?
Record indexes, fees, office procedures, and collection locations change. Digitization can alter access without changing a record's legal status. Although this material is maintained as a reference, no detail is guaranteed at a given moment. Confirm important information with the office or repository that holds the record.
Not Legal Advice
Nothing here is legal advice. Brookhaven record sources and directories may be described, but only a qualified attorney can give legal advice about a record, dispute, or request.
Lawful Use Only
Public sources are not a license to harm others. Do not use information found through this service to stalk, harass, intimidate, or hurt a person. Misuse can violate New York or federal law and breaches the Terms of Use.
Third-Party Search Tools
Some pages include search boxes powered by third-party companies. We do not control what those tools return, what they charge, or how they handle submitted data, and their results are not FCRA-compliant consumer reports.
Outbound Links
We link to assessor and recorder portals, elections-office lookups, court searches, library local history collections, archives, and similar resources. We are not responsible for any external site's content, accuracy, or availability.
No Records Hosted on This Site
This site holds no government roll, directory volume, court file, or vital record. It points to the offices, libraries, and portals that do. Obtaining, verifying, or correcting a record means contacting that custodian directly.
